Lena Waithe has teamed up with toiletry brand Dove and media company ATTN:, scripting a new five part series, Girls Room, which 'tackles the pain and power of female adolescence through the eyes of a group of five girls as they face the challenges of growing up in today's social media world'.
The Emmy-winning producer, screenwriter, and actress commented 'Girls are facing very real issues that influence how they see themselves in the world, but what I hope comes through in Girls Room is that we have the power to lift each other up and encourage one another to feel freedom in being ourselves'.
